Description
This course will look at the music industry in the United States through the lens of Vanderbilt University's location in Nashville, TN. Nashville is a major music centre in the United States, and the music produced there has a global following, particularly in the country, rock, pop, singer-songwriter, and Americana genres.However, regardless of musical style or genre, students will learn that the fundamental principles of recording, marketing, copyright, licencing, and live performance are the same.
