Description
In this course, you will :
- Before looking over the resources needed to accomplish your project, brainstorm ideas to obtain inspiration. Look for reference photographs, pick your favourite, then begin working on a series of sketches.
- Next, transfer your reference photo to paper and personalise it. Make a stencil out of frisket film and fill in your portrait with black paint, starting with the base layer and working your way up to the finer details. Add texture as well as decorative elements such as flowers and accessories to bring your artwork to life.
- Finally, scan your work into Photoshop and merge all of the layers together to create a single image. Karen provides experienced advice on how to fine-tune your composition and export the finished illustration to share with the rest of the world.
