Description
The goal of this course is to provide sampling design and analysis approaches that will be beneficial for research and management in a variety of fields. A well-designed sampling technique allows us to summarize and interpret data with fewer assumptions and difficulties.
Syllabus:
- Simple random sampling with associated estimation and confidence interval methods,
- Selecting sample sizes,
- Estimating proportions,
- Unequal probability samping,
- Ratio and regression estimation,
- Stratified sampling,
- Cluster and systematic sampling,
- Multistage designs,
- Double or Two-stage sampling,
- Capture - recapture sampling, and
- Random response model
