Description
In this course, you will learn:
- Begin the following unit by familiarising yourself with the equipment and materials you'll be working with.
- Learn why Alan chooses to take his own shots of his topic and how he achieves the perfect shot.
- To improve your observational skills, make individual pencil sketches of an eye, nose, mouth, and ear.
- Then, figure out how to set up your workspace and tools, including your painting palette.
- Then it's time to pick up your brush and get painting! Improve your line and tonal washes, learn how to blend colours, and draw delicate fine lines.
- Paint shadows, then go on to mid-tones, and learn how to cross-reference your image as you go.
- After you've completed your underpainting, go over your subject again and add highlights and other small details.
- Learn how to get a new perspective on your work so you can give it the ideal finishing touches.
- Learn how to maintain and show your portrait at the end of the course, as well as how to promote your work on social media.
