In this course, you will learn:

• Learn about Kevin's creative process and where some of his favorite illustrated characters get their inspiration.
• Learn how to determine which ideas to explore and what makes a great storybook illustration.
• He demonstrates how to create intriguing new characters and how to use them as the foundation for a tale.
• It's time to start constructing your characters with some rough sketches, using references from your research.
• Kevin demonstrates how to colour them with coloured pencils once they've been drawn to your taste.
• Learn how to use different expressions and positions to define the interaction between your characters.
• Then, using watercolour brush pens, transfer your best sketch to watercolour paper and begin colouring.
• Kevin concludes by elaborating on the universe that surrounds the characters.
• Continue to construct your own book or put them in your creative portfolio using your illustration and new characters.
