- Learn traditional handweaving techniques as well as how to construct your own frame loom.
- Investigate a modern approach to a traditional art form and design the ideal cut-out rug.
- Discover the various materials and tools needed for handweaving a rug before Sophie shows you how to set up a frame loom and achieve the perfect tension.
- Learn the three basic handweaving techniques for creating your piece.
- Learn about urban wandering, the practise of drawing inspiration from your surroundings, and how Sophie uses it to create image mood boards. Transform those images into colour, investigate their textures, and use mark making techniques to create a one-of-a-kind rug design.
