Description
In this course, you will learn:
- This course looks at the role of computing in the creation and representation of form and shape. Learn Python programming as a creative medium for design, architecture, art, and more.
- Learners will create, evaluate, and critique algorithmic approaches to digital sketching, modeling, and projection. The powerful and sophisticated Python Rhinoscript library will be introduced and examined in depth.
- This library allows Rhinoceros, a popular 3D graphics and computer-aided design (CAD) modeling software, to be scripted using text-based code. This type of scripting has the potential to automate existing processes as well as create new types of relationships and shapes and forms.
Syllabus:
- Procedural Points, Python Basics, and Rhinoscript
- Curves vs. Curvature
- The Depth Of A Surface
- Deconstruction Of Surfaces, The Genesis Of Lines
- The Project Of Projection
