Description
In this course, you will learn about the concepts and approaches that go into creating successful character designs for video games. Following a week of delving into some fundamental concepts for successful character design, the remaining three weeks are structured as master classes in which you will observe three professional character designers at work in the studio: Adventure Time's Andy Ristaino, Journey's Jacky Ke Jiang, and Robertryan Cory (SpongeBob SquarePants). Each designer will tackle two different design challenges on the fly, addressing various issues in game character design such as movement, expression, and technical constraints.
