In this course, you will :
- Gain a thorough understanding of the tools and concepts required to achieve this goal Successful smart growth case studies will be evaluated and assessed for multiple cities across the United States.
- The concentration will introduce students to sustainable regional principles and will evaluate regional transportation system issues. This is accomplished through dynamic video lectures with numerous images, practical case studies, and the evaluation of successful practises. Considerations for smart urban planning, growth, and lifestyle are also evaluated, including strategies for creating equitable, healthy, and sustainable communities.
- The focus will also include evaluations of best practises for community involvement and growth strategies. In addition, green space preservation, parks, sourcing quality food from local growers, providing a range of housing options, integrating office, retail, and housing spaces, and lowering the urban pollution footprint are all priorities.
- Includes a focus on recycled, reusable, green, and sustainable products, a lower carbon footprint, green buildings, renewable solar and wind energy applications, low impact storm water management practices, water resource management, resource conservation, and more.
