Description
In this course, you will learn:
- About the theory, methods, and techniques of engineering design and creative problem-solving, as well as design concerns and practices in civil engineering.
- Covers numerous design examples, with a focus on built infrastructure (such as buildings, bridges, and roads).
- Project design explicitly addresses technological methodologies as well as considerations for the existing built environment, natural environment, economic and social aspects, and estimated lifespan.
- A major design case is introduced and used in the following specialized area design courses (1.031, 1.041, and 1.051) as well as the capstone design subject (1.013).
