Description
In this course, you will learn:
- Learn the principles of watercolor painting before following Arthur's creative process from beginning to end.
- Before settling on a final design, learn how to efficiently explore fresh ideas for your paintings and how to develop thumbnail sketches.
- Then familiarise yourself with the materials you'll be using, such as paints, brushes, paper, and other basic supplies.
- Learn the principles of sketching an anatomically accurate face, as well as basic watercolour techniques and colour theory.
- Then, figure out how to transfer a computer drawing to paper. Start applying water and paint once you've sketched out the outline using a pencil. As a technique of mapping out shadows, highlights, and face characteristics, add some faint preliminary layers in warm and cold tones.
- Finish your painting by adding the finishing touches. Arthur demonstrates how to paint delicate details on top of your painting with a little brush.
- Then, by concentrating on the darker sections of your work, observe how you might improve the contrast of your work.
- Finally, learn how to use a dry brush to retouch eyelashes, hair, and other minute features in your picture to add extra movement, texture, and emotion to your painting.
