Description
The achievement of balanced economic, social, and environmental development, as expressed in the UN Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, is recognised as one of humanity's major challenges today. What is less clear is whether and how organisations can create business opportunities and value for their stakeholders while dealing with such challenges.
In this course, thought leaders from a wide range of management and economic fields demonstrate how to assess and capitalise on the opportunities presented by global emergencies. They will provide ideas and examples on how to manage the transition process to realise the value creation potential of corporate sustainability for all involved stakeholders, as well as new ways to understand the purpose and logic of success of the business enterprise in this new context.
Learning objectives :
- Recognize the macroeconomic and microeconomic consequences of climate change, poverty, hunger, gender or race discrimination, and a lack of communication between the state, civil societies, and businesses, among other things.
- Recognize why it is critical for businesses to address sustainability issues in order to generate more and better business opportunities.
- Discover how each individual, organisation, and system can begin to analyse their behaviours and shift toward more sustainable practises and models.
