Description
In this course, you will :
- Explore the origins and evolution of lo-fi music. Charles then walks you through the features of Ableton Live and Ableton Push.
- Before experimenting with a drum rack and sequencing beats, learn how to play simple chord shapes.
- Discover how to play and create ambient textures to enhance your sound.
- Use the major and minor chord shapes from earlier in the course to track and record a chord progression. Then, in Ableton Push, record a finger-drummed beat and loop it alongside your chord progression. Lay down your bass before beginning to create simple melodies with texture.
- Using Ableton Push, perform a live arrangement of your composed beat. Begin by composing your beat. Then, before playing and recording your beat live, add effects to set the mood.
- Finally, Charles demonstrates how to upload your music to the internet and share it with the world through platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music.
