In this course, you will :
- Create a mood board with references that correspond to the look you want to achieve.
- Next, sketch out your character's basic design while Jacob demonstrates some useful drawing techniques. Then, to give your sketch some personality, work on some variations and create an additional perspective.
- It's time to go digital! After you've digitised your sketch, learn how to use Cinema 4D to create a basic scene and incorporate a lighting setup.
- Learn how to use the boxmodeling technique to model your character's body. Next, add facial features and hair to the head and face to model them.
- Continue your character creation journey by adding finer details such as brows, lashes, and even a beard! Model your character's clothing and accessories to give them a sense of style.
- As the finishing touches, learn how to add texture and colour to your character.
- Jacob then demonstrates how to render your character in Redshift and colour correct it in Photoshop.
- Jacob walks you through some bonus lessons to teach you alternate ways to customise your character design using Marvelous Designer now that your character is ready to be shared on social media.
